Seahawks announce registration info for training camp

Seahawks extended GM John Schneider through 2016

A pre-sale for season ticket holders began Monday and one for Blue Pride members will take place on Wednesday, June 26, at 10 a.m. Registration will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and fans 15 years or younger must be accompanied by an adult. Only fans that register through seahawks.com will be allowed to attend practice. A $7 transportation fee will be charged per person, as fans will be required to park at an off-site location and shuttled to VMAC before and after each practice. The VMAC parking lot will be closed to the public. The Seahawks have partnered with The Landing Shopping Center in Renton to serve as the Seahawks Training Camp Parking and Transportation Center.

Seahawks QB Russell Wilson reveals his turning point in 2012

(John Froschauer/AP Photo) That was when Wilson started turning heads around the country. It was seen as a turning point for a Seahawks team that won out the rest of the regular season and came within just 31 seconds of the NFC championship game. But to Wilson, his turning point when he really connected with Seattles receivers and cemented the offense was much earlier than that Week 13 game in the Windy City. Id definitely say the Patriots game, Wilson said on 710 ESPN Seattles John Clayton Show on Saturday. A lot of people mention some of the games after that and everything, but I definitely feel like the Patriots games when we really started to click. We had to come back against a very, very good quarterback in Tom Brady and a great coach in Coach (Bill) Belichick, and we were able to come back against them at home and make some big plays when we needed to. I think thats really when we got in our groove. Indeed, many Seahawks fans also might point to that 24-23 win in Week 6. And theyd probably point to Wilsons beautiful touchdown pass to Rice with 1:27 remaining in the game. It was a 46-yard rainbow, deep up the middle, that stole the victory Oct.

The new deal will keep him in Seattle through the 2016 season. Schneider was hired in 2010 along with head coach Pete Carroll and his original contract was set to expire at the end of the 2013 season. Sando writes that the extension has been in place for over a year, however, without any fanfare. The ESPN expert also believes that Carroll, whose contract is up after the 2014 season, will be in line for an extension over the next year or so as well. More Seahawks coverage at Field Gulls Since taking over a team that went 5-11 in 2009, Schneider and Carroll have built one of the best rosters in the league. The Seahawks are popular favorites to win the Super Bowl this season, too, so keeping Schneider around for four more years seems to be an easy choice after the fine work he has done for the franchise.
